ULA IPU POPO - This very popular
coconut shell necklace with handpainted frangipani flowers is worn in Samoa
by both men and ladies. It is made of 25 discs which are 1-5/8" across
and each necklace is 42" around. They are made in many different colors
to match shirt and puletasi colors. Earrings also can go with them to make
a Set.

ULA
NIFO - This 'toothed' necklace is unique to Samoa and was made from split Sperm
Whale's tooth in olden times. It is an important part of the Traditional Samoan
Dance Outfit for both men and ladies and is worn for both formal and informal
Dance performances. It is handmade by local craftspeople from bone, mature or
immature coconut shell and white plastic with local Pua Nut (when in season)
or wood beads between the 'teeth'.
